Starting January 2026, Italy launches a groundbreaking policy to attract talent and support local communities: companies will pay zero social security contributions when hiring (or retaining) remote workers who relocate to mountain towns under 5,000 inhabitants.

✅ Up to €8,000/year in full contribution exemption (2026-2027)

✅ Reduced rates until 2030

✅ For employees under 41 with permanent contracts

This is more than just a tax break. It’s a strategy to:

 • Counter depopulation in rural and mountain areas

 • Encourage companies to adopt smart working as a long-term model

 • Offer young professionals and families a better lifestyle balance

 • Boost local economies by bringing new residents and energy to small communities

👉 At Insula Partner we guide remote workers and professionals to unlock these advantages, thanks to our legal expertise and network of tax and relocation experts.
